A NOMIKAI (Japanese: 飲み会) is a drinking party phenomenon particular to Japanese culture.
Nomikai are a part of the culture of most places of employment, from schools to nightclubs.
The casual and honest exchanges that happen between coworkers during nomikai is called bureikō in Japanese.
